Trainee Appraisal Careers are hard to find these days, so why not get a let up over other Trainees looking for jobs? Working with an experienced Certified Appraiser is a critical step for a Trainee.
Traineess must learn the Appraisal business by working directly with a Supervisor in order to upgrade from a Trainee License to a Residential Appraiser License. Trainees are at a disadvantage because Lenders will accept appraisals from Licensed Residential Appraisers, Certified Residential, or Certified General Appraisers, leaving Trainees very few options. Lenders only want reports from Licensees who have finished their entire apprenticeship and have graduated out of the Trainee License level.
This introduction to Appraisal instruction is not an ongoing Supervisor-Trainee job that pays you income, however, you may find it valuable to work on a week of real appraisal files from start to finish.
You do not need to buy your own software or pay for MLS subscriptions and Public Records subscriptions. The typical 5 days of training will be working together on about 3-6 appraisals from start to finish and you will earn 7 hours of OREA experience for every day.
If you do not have a license, but would like to learn if this is Appraisal Business would be a good job for you, there is no experience necessary to learn.
